What is remote management?

 

An engineering or operational tool with information important to decision support and day-to-day management.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCADA systems improve the efficiency of the monitoring and control process, providing real-time information on the current state of the system, allowing appropriate operational decisions to be taken, either automatically or at the initiative of the user.

 

 

Concept and Objectives

 

  

 

Remote management comprises products and systems that put information and remote-transmission technologies on the ground, allowing remote control of geographically dispersed or isolated technical facilities.

Remote management provides facility operators and managers with a set of tools allowing:

•   Permanent control and monitoring of the working of a facility;
•   Automatic alerts in the event of failure or incident;
•   Control of equipment installed in the field;
•   Optimisation of the working of the facilities.

  

 

 

Within Remote Management Systems there is a fundamental distinction between four levels of functions:

•   Remote Alarm function;
•   Automatic alerts in the event of failure or incident;
•   Control of equipment installed in the field;
•   Optimisation of the working of the facilities.
