Product: Aproveitamento de Biogás
Description:

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION
Wastewater treatment leads to the formation of by-products, in particular primary and biological sludge. The anaerobic stabilisation of sludge is the biological degradation of organic matter in anaerobic conditions, converting it into biogas. This is a mixture of gases consisting essentially of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Biogas has a high energy potential and can be used as fuel in combined thermal and electrical production units.
THE CONTRIBUTION OF LUSÁGUA
Luságua, in collaboration with its partners in the market, has the necessary technical capacity to design, implement and operate anaerobic digestion treatment systems, adapting its operations to the needs of each customer. The use of biogas as fuel in cogeneration units is an environmentally correct practice, with high potential for reducing operating costs of the treatment plant.
